The atmosphere was tranquil with lovely views of the building architecture. We were led in and escorted to the "elevated level" by the hostess via elevator and seated at a cozy table for two. While the Mapquest directions were a bit challenging (the establishment is located off of a freeway access road), the restaurant itself did not disappoint in any way. One more thing, then I'll stop gushing: one of my favorite things to do in any restaurant, is watch the pace and movement of the staff-it tells you a lot about the restaurant, efficiency and attention to detail- like a well coached team where the players know where they belong if done correctly, it's like a dance. All of the preparations were executed perfectly. I love to cook, And I'm picky about cook temperatures of fine meats but especially of rich which tends to be overcooked. My wife and daughter were very happy with their blue snapper (Wild Pacific Ocean). I had the lamb loin off of the feature items of the evening (Medium rare, of course.)- Wow!-Paired with a good pinot noir, I was very happy. He knew the origin of all of the menu's products and he described the preparation with precision and without pretense. Our waiter, Phillip, was obviously a professional waiter. Looking up, you'll see the first third of the triple entendre: the restaurant is above the bar the second as your greeted by the main hostess and take in the atmosphere.Nice. You walk through the double doors to a ground level swanky bar to be greeted by a host staff who address you by your name.(They're not psychic, reservations are highly recommended).
